About the LMSO Editions available

There are two editions of LMSO available: the Professional Edition (LMSO Pro), and the Project Edition (LMSO Project). Both Editions are fully compatible with OS X and come with the same scale library.

LMSO Professional is our flagship model that comes with everything that is described on the main product page.

LMSO Project is the budget edition. It has all the same great scale editors and analysis tools as LMSO Pro, but has fewer tuning formats supported. It comes with support for the four most commonly used tuning formats, and it can also retune many non-retunable instruments with Nuscale, though some of the more advanced features of Nuscale are not present.

Owners of LMSO Project can upgrade later to LMSO Pro Edition if they need to by paying the difference between the two, plus a materials and handling fee.

LMSO Professional Edition - $165

• Support for these tuning formats only: MIDI Tuning Standard (MTS), Proteus 2000 series, TUN, Absynth.
• 1 part single timbre Cupcake Microtonal Synthesizer.
• No Universal Tuning Format Translator.
• Nuscale Tuning Processors handle one scale only per instrument.
• Two simultaneous Nuscale virtual ports.
